THERAPY IN THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS
Therapy that helps you find a way forward
We’re a therapist-owned counseling practice in The Woodlands. We help children, teens, adults, couples, and families work through difficult feelings, relationships, and changes in life.
Our foundation is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). It helps you handle difficult thoughts and feelings while taking steps toward the people and activities you care about. You do not need to know therapy terms to begin.
WHAT GUIDES OUR WORK
What our approach means for you
We get to know your situation and choose a pace that works for you. For example, we might practice handling worry before a difficult conversation, asking for support, or starting a task you have been avoiding.
Handle difficult feelings
Practice noticing a difficult feeling and giving yourself time to choose what to do next.
Understand your patterns
Explore what happens when you feel stuck, what you have tried, and which responses help over time.
Take a manageable step
Choose something you care about, such as being a present parent or a supportive friend. Practice one small action that reflects that choice.
Evidence-based and human
We use research-backed therapy without reducing you to a diagnosis or checklist. Sessions are collaborative, curious, and grounded in real life.

HOW THERAPY BEGINS
What your first sessions can look like
- 1
We learn what has been happening
You can share at your own pace. We listen for your concerns, strengths, relationships, patterns, and what you want life to look like.
- 2
We identify what matters
Together, we choose what you want help with and what a useful change would look like in your daily life.
- 3
We practice in real life
We may practice a skill together, talk through a difficult situation, or choose something small to try between sessions.
